ERIC will accept completed but unpublished research papers that have not been accepted for publication at the time of submission. The conference does not assume copyright for any work accepted for presentation. Registration are free of charge for presenters.

Additional Information


Authors should submit two PDF versions of their contribution: an anonymous version and a version containing the author information. In addition, authors should provide the following information in their submission: title of contribution, names and affiliations of authors, e-mail, postal address, telephone number, an abstract, key words, and JEL classification codes. Submitted papers will be double-blind reviewed by the program committee. All correspondence will be with the specified corresponding author.

Hereinafter, we would like to inform you which information we might process when you submit a scientific contribution for the “European Retail Investment Conference” (hereinafter referred to as the “Conference”), how we deal with this information, with whom we might share it and what kind of rights you have in this context.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing
To successfully submit a scientific contribution for the Conference and therefore to conclude the contract regarding the usage of your contribution, you need to provide some personal information as the following.
To submit a scientific contribution for the Conference you need to enter a salutation and your first name as well as your surname, the organization you work for and an e-mail-address. This information is necessary to conclude the contract regarding the submission of a scientific contribution for the Conference. Via this information you will be identified as the author of the contribution, the Boerse Stuttgart GmbH might also use the indicated email address to contact you if necessary. During the submission process, date and time of submission as well as the IP address assigned to you while submission will be stored, too. By doing this, we want to ensure that the services offered are not being abused. Above that, the in accordance to number 1 of this declaration responsible institution is obligated to prove your consent to this privacy policy.

Moreover, you can enter further voluntary personal information during the submission, for example possible titles, your department within the organization you work for, a possible co-author concerning your scientific contribution and whether you agree that your scientific contribution may be made available on the webpage if it is chosen for the Conference or not. Furthermore you can leave a message to the Program Committee and the Chairs regarding your contribution. We use this voluntary personal information to be able to prepare the Conference and select the submitted contributions even better.

4. Collection of General Information
Furthermore, when you visit our website, we by default store the IP address assigned to you by your internet provider, the website by which you chose to access our website, our websites you access, date and duration of your visit, the browser type employed and its version, the operation system employed as well as similar information and data. On the one hand, the storage of this information shall serve to avert danger in case of an attack on the systems of information technology. On the other hand, it shall help to improve the webpage.
The preceding information will not be combined with any other personal information collected about you.

5. Onward Transfer to Third Parties
With respect to the technical provision of the webpage and its content we partially employ third parties as providers. These third parties are processors who act on behalf of the responsible institution mentioned in number 1 of this declaration. They process personal information according to the respective guidelines and exclusively to the respective purpose. In this context, the Stock Exchange Stuttgart remains the institution which is responsible for processing.
Besides, on the webpages of the Conference, there are links to other websites. We do not know which information is being collected on the target pages of these links. Therefore, we cannot assume responsibility for whether these other websites comply with data protection regulations.

6. Duration of Data Retention
Because it is needed for your identification as the author of the contribution and for carrying out the Conference, the personal information will be stored at least until the Conference has ended.
If your scientific contribution is accepted by the Program Committee and if you agreed that your contribution is made available on the webpage, your submitted personal information will be stored as long your contribution is made available on the webpage.

7. Rights of Persons Concerned
Every person concerned has the Right of access by the data subject (Art. 15 GDPR). In the case of inaccurate personal information being processed, you have the Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR). If the legal requirements are fulfilled, you may request the erasure or restriction of processing, you may object the processing (Art. 17, 18 and 21 GDPR) and you may claim your Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). If you exercise your abovementioned rights, we will examine if the corresponding legal requirements are fulfilled to meet them.
You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information with effect to the future at all times with us. However, in this case it might occur that your contribution cannot be accepted for the Conference.

Furthermore, you have the Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. With respect to Boerse Stuttgart GmbH, this supervisory authority is:
